Vietri’s historical centre
Vietri sul Mare (Vietri on the Sea), named “prima perla della costiera amalfitana” (the first pearl of Amalfi’s coast). From 1997 Vietri is part of UNESCO’s world heritage along with the rest of Amalfi’s coast. Vietri’s ceramic is everywhere, exported all over the world. Absolutely worth visiting are the traditional ceramic workshops. Just like in the rest of Amalfi’s coast, you owe it to yourself to try out a dish of anchovies or, alternatively, some of Gragnano’s “paccheri” with some fresh fish. Also worth visiting is Vietri’s municipal villa, a small park with a beautiful view on Salerno’s gulf, featuring seats and walls covered in Vietri’s colorful ceramic.

Raito
Raito is close to Vietri sul Mare and is situated on a hill, from which it towers over Salerno’s gulf. The name “raito” comes from latin and translates to “kissed from the sun”, referring to the town’s position, exposed to the sun on every hour of the day. From here you can witness amazing views and the sea’s infinite beauty. The town has no roads, but distinctive flights of steps, which act as the only way to visit the place.

Salerno’s historical centre
Salerno is a port city on top of mount Bonadies. Its rich historical centre is one of its most distinctive places, filled with workshops and restaurants.

Pompei’s archeological park
Pompei’s archeological excavations have given us back what remains of old Pompei, next to Civita’s hill, right next to modern Pompei, buried beneath a blanket of lava and ashes from the Vesuvius eruption in 79 (along with Ercolano, Stabia and Oplonti).

Ercolano’s archeological park
Ercolano, ancient roman city destroyed and buried by the Vesuvius eruption of 79 d.C., was brought back to history’s chronicles in the 700s thanks to the Bourbonic explorations. Due to this ,despite its multicentury long history, excavations have brought to light but a mere fraction of the old city, leaving most of the ancient Herculaneum buried underground, including the forense area, the sacred buildings and civil buildings that store precious decorations and furnishing.

Miglio D’Oro’s villa
The Miglio d’Oro (Golden Mile) is named this way due to its lucky position, in between the greenish slopes of the Vesuvius and the sea. Conca dei marini

Praiano

Vico Equense

Monte Terminio
Mount Terminio is one of the biggest heights around Avellino, reaching up to 1.806m of height. It’s part of the mountain range of the Picentini mounts in the Apennines.
